Minister of Public Security pays official visit to Belarus

PSNews - A high-ranking delegation of the Ministry of Public Security, led by its Minister, Senior Lieutenant General To Lam, on March 2, arrived in Belarus, starting an official visit on the eve of the 100th anniversary of the Belarusian police force.

Within the framework of the Belarus visit of the Vietnamese Public Security Minister at the invitation of Belarus Interior Minister Igor Shunevich, the Vietnamese Ministry of Public Security’s delegation will attend the cerebration of the 100th founding anniversary of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Belarus.

Shortly after his arrival in Minsk, Minister To Lam paid a courtesy visit to Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko.

At the meeting, President Alexander Lukashenko welcomed and highly valued the visit to Belarus of Minister To Lam and the high-ranking delegation.

The host expressed pleasure over positive developments in Vietnam-Belarus ties, saying that the visit will contribute to cementing and strengthening the traditional friendship between the two nations.

Minister To Lam, for his part, thanked President Alexander Lukashenko for holding the reception.

He then conveyed greetings and regards from Vietnam’s Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong and State President Tran Dai Quang to the Belarusian President and his family.

The Vietnamese Minister of Public Security stressed that the Government and people of Vietnam are always deeply grateful to the Government and people of Belarus for their valuable supports for Vietnam during the war as well as in current national construction and defense.

Vietnam always attaches importance to the traditional friendship with Belarus, Minister To Lam confirmed.

Minister To Lam applauded great achievements made by the Belarusian people in building and developing their country, and emphasized that, under the leadership of President Lukashenko, the  Eastern European country will continue growing fast in all areas, maintain firm political stability, and play an increasingly important role in the region and world.

The Vietnamese Minister hoped that President Lukashenko will continuously direct Belarus law enforcement agencies to promote cooperation with the Vietnamese Ministry of Public Security to effectively prevent and fight crimes, and to firmly protect national security and social order of each country, contributing to peace, stability and development in  the region and world.
