Minister To Lam presents gifts to workers in Hung Yen province

PSNews – Senior Lieutenant General To Lam, Politburo member, Minister of Public Security on January 10 presented gifts and extended New Year greetings to needy workers in Van Giang district, Hung Yen province.

Minister To Lam was accompanied by Mr. Bui Van Cuong, Member of the Party Central Committee, President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labour; Mr. Do Tien Sy, Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Hung Yen Provincial Party Committee and leaders of the provincial Trade Union chapter.

On the occasion of the 2019 New Year, Minister To Lam extended his best wishes to all workers nationwide in general and in Hung Yen province in particular, and presented 50 gifts, worth 1.3 million VND each, to needy workers in Van Giang district.

During the event, Van Giang district’s representatives briefed the delegates on the local socio-economic situation and their regular care for workers in the locality.

Senior Lieutenant General To Lam congratulated the achievements gained by Hung Yen district in terms of economy, culture, society, security and national defense, saying that the results were greatly contributed by the local Party organizations, people as well as local workers.

He applauded the Vietnam General Confederation of Labour and Hung Yen province’s authorities for their joint effort in organizing the meaningful activity to give both materials and encouragements to local workers on the occasion of the upcoming Tet holiday.

Minister To Lam hoped that, in the upcoming time, all Trade Union cadres and workers in the province would continue strictly abide by labor disciplines and improve their professional qualifications so as to always deserve to be the most progressive force of the society and to contribute more to the cause of national construction and defense.
