Minister To Lam works with Dong Nai Provincial Police

General To Lam, Politburo's member, Minister of Public Security, on December 23 led a delegation to work with the Dong Nai Provincial Police Department.

At the working session, Senior Colonel Vu Hong Van, Director of the Dong Nai Provincial Police Department briefed the minister and delegates on the local security situation and various achievements of the local police in 2019.

During the year, the provincial police force launched a number of campaigns against crimes and successfully investigated various complicated criminal cases. 

The provincial police forces have successfully investigated 83.6% of the criminal cases, of which 95% of the serious and extremely serious criminal cases were solved. On the other hand, the Dong Nai police authorities proactively detected and strictly punished cases, in which police officers made mistakes or violated the laws.

Speaking at the meeting, Minister To Lam spoke highly of the Dong Nai police’s achievements in 2019. 

Regarding its future missions, the minister suggested all public security officers should seriously observe the laws while implementing drastically and effectively the plans to suppress crimes and maintain public security and order throughout the province during the New Year and Lunar New Year (Tet) holiday.
