The meeting was held online, connecting between delegates from the Ministry of Public Security’s (MPS) headquarters and those from police departments of provinces and centrally-run cities as well as public security schools in the southern region, as well as the 199 Hospital and the 30/4 Hospital.

According to reports at the conference, as of March 2025, approximately 45,000 public security officers and enlistees nationwide have the need for social housing.

Based on the housing need of the Public Security Forces nationwide, MPS has proposed People’s Committees of provinces and centrally-run cities to include the house  need of public security officers in their social housing development plans.

Discussing at the meeting, delegates deeply analyzed difficulties in developing housing projects for public security officers and enlistees, and proposed that People’s Committees of provinces and centrally-run cities allocate MPS and local-level police units land to deploy social housing projects for the Public Security Forces.

Concluding the meeting, Deputy Minister Dang Hong Duc requested that the involved public security units and agencies closely oversee each housing project so that all projects agreed upon between MPS and provincial authorities can be implemented and completed as planned.

The Deputy Minister also requested that provincial-level police departments should thoroughly review the demand for social housing and official residences of their officers and enlistees as well as officers from other MPS units stationed in their areas, and send the reports to MPS leaders.

They should also proactively coordinate with relevant local departments and agencies to allocate land resources as well as select appropriate investors to develop social housing projects and official residences for public security personnel.

Additionally, Deputy Minister Dang Hong Duc hoped that Party Committees and local authorities would continue to support and assist the Public Security Forces in realizing the housing development projects invested in by MPS and its affiliated units and agencies so that the Public Security Forces could soon achieve housing development targets set by the Government and the Prime Minister.
