Nearly a year ago, Duong Quang commune, My Hao district used to be a hotspot of public concern because of land violations of some commune officials. After careful investigations, relevant agencies and units concluded that, from 2011 to 2015, 3 officials in Mao Chinh hamlet, Duong Quang commune collaborated in selling land beyond their competence, illegally pocketed 8 billion VND. The officials were arrested and prosecuted under the law.
At the same time, in An Thi and Kim Dong districts, the local police force prosecuted 3 cases related to land management violations.
On the basis of the results of investigations, the Hung Yen Provincial Police advised the Provincial People's Committee to issue directives to enhance the land management at the grassroots level.
Besides, the Hung Yen Police drastically resolved wrongdoings relating to the public, such as environmental pollution, untreated wastes discharged by local companies into the environment and illegal sand production in the Hong and Luoc rivers.
The solutions of the Hung Yen Police received high consensus from local people, strengthening people's trust in the guidance of the State, Party and law. In 2016,the Hung Yen Provincial Police maintained political security and social order in the province’s localities during the 12th National Party Congress, the election of the 14th National Assembly and People’s Councils at all level in the term 2016-2021; totally resolved all areas with complex security issues.
Hung Yen is a plain province with many industrial zones, which are fertile places for criminal gangs in the cover of businesses. One of the ''well-known'' gangs was led by Nguyen Khac Tu known as Tu 'monkey'' in Khoai Chau district, which was swept out and arrested by Hung Yen Police in 2014. In 2016, the Hung Yen Provincial Police has investigated and prosecuted 462 case with 644 suspects, seized around 4,46 billion VND and related exhibits from criminals. In particular, the rate of successful investigation of very serious cases and extremely serious cases reached 100%.

A model in the battle suppressing crime in Hung Yen is Senior Colonel Do Dinh Hao, Director of the Hung Yen Provincial Police. In a talk with reporters, without any documents he could still exactly told specific numbers about force building work and resolved case last year.
Senior Colonel Do Dinh Hao said:"At work, the unit leader must be exemplary and responsible. If subordinate officers and soldiers made mistakes, the leader should first hold the responsibility," he stressed.
In 2016, under his leadership, 4 district police leaders were however punished for their wrongdoings in officer management and working regulation implementation.
All mentioned factors positively impacted the work and responsibility of officers and soldiers of the Hung Yen Provincial Police force.
The Hung Yen Provincial Police reached or exceeded all the set targets. With the achievements, 742 organizations and individuals were awarded by leaders at all levels.
Above all, the Prime Minister has presented the Emulation Flag to the Hung Yen Provincial Police.
