At the discussion session, under the direction of Deputy Minister Le Van Tuyen, delegates evaluated the real situation of working premises for communal-level police forces, pointed out difficulties and problems in building communal-level police’s offices in each locality, and proposed solutions to the issues.
Speaking at the meeting, Minister To Lam affirmed, the communal-level police force has various responsibilities and tasks from dealing with crime reports and denunciations, registering motorcycles and mopeds to managing foreigners’ residence and implementing Project 06.
Therefore, it is needed to strengthen the communal-level police force, including building headquarters for the force, contributing to ensuring security and order at the grassroots, in line with Resolution No. 12 of the Public Security Central Party Committee on speeding up the construction of communal-level police posts in the current situation.
Minister To Lam requested that leaders of the provincial police units should seriously implement the plan to build working places for the communal-level police force in communes and townships, and periodically report on the progress of construction of working offices and hostels.
The Minister stressed that the improvement of communal-level police posts is an important element in building clean, strong, regular and elite Public Security Forces by 2030.
In case they meet difficulties, they should report on leaders of the Ministry of Public Security for instructions.
