PSNews - Secretary of the Public Security Central Party Committee and Minister of Public Security General To Lam, leading a delegation of the Standing Commission of the Public Security Central Party Committee, had a working session with the Standing Board of the Thai Nguyen Provincial Party Committee, on the morning of August 2, in Thai Nguyen.

Reports at the meeting stated that, in the first 6 months of 2023, the economic growth rate in Thai Nguyen province was estimated at 5.17% while the province’s State budget revenue reached VND 8,273 billion, equaling 42.3% of the estimate assigned by the Ministry of Finance.

Meanwhile, the cultural, health, educational and social security sectors stably developed, and national defense, national security and social order were firmly maintained.

Local functional forces actively implemented drastic measures to curb crime, prevent the formation of criminal gangs or organized criminal groups.

The clearance rate of criminal cases exceeded the target set by the National Assembly while the local police strengthened the administrative management of social order, traffic order and safety, fire prevention and fighting, contributing to gradually building an orderly, disciplined, safe and healthy society.

Thanks to the great effort of the local authorities and police in implementing the Government's Project 06, Thai Nguyen has been the first among the 63 cities and provinces to complete the collection of civil status data on 100% of the population, 47 days ahead of the schedule, and granted e-ID cards to 100% of the eligible citizens, 65 days ahead of the schedule.

Speaking at the meeting, General To Lam suggested that in the coming time, the Standing Board of the Thai Nguyen Provincial Party Committee should continue to closely follow the direction of the Party Central Committee, the National Assembly and the Government and strive to fulfill the targets set out in 2023.

Regarding the mission of ensuring security and order, General To Lam emphasized: "It is necessary to maintain the strategic advantage, firmly maintain security and order, not to be driven in a disadvantage, absolutely deny acts of terrorism and sabotage negatively affecting security and order, ensure security and safety for the people, contributing to socio-economic development in Thai Nguyen province".

General To Lam requested Thai Nguyen to actively grasp the situation, solve problems early and right from the grassroots level, absolutely eliminate "hot spots" in terms of security and order while the rate of social order offences must reduce by least 5%.

General To Lam expressed his belief that the Party Committee, government and people of Thai Nguyen province will continue to unite, overcome all difficulties and challenges, and successfully implement the Resolution of the 13th National Party Congress, Resolution of the 10th Congress of the Party Committee of Thai Nguyen province, and build Thai Nguyen as a prosperous, civilized and modern province, worthy of the heroic historical tradition of the province.
