Public Security Newspaper and Carlsberg Vietnam present 3,000 Tet gifts to needy people

PSNews - The charity mission of the Public Security Newspaper and Carlsberg Vietnam have presented 3,000 packs of Tet gift worth a total of 1.2 billion VND to disadvantaged and needy households as well as disabled people in Thua Thien Hue and Quang Tri Province. This part of the "Tet for the needy program 2017" organized by the Public Security Newspaper

On January 9th, the charity mission handed the first 200 gifts out of the 1,600 Tet gifts for the needy in Thua Thien Hue province, worth 400,000 VND each to disadvantaged households in Phong Thu commune, Phong Dien district (Thua Thien Hue). There will be 1,600 gift packs delivered to people in Thua Thien Hue province.

Knowing that the Public Security Newspaper delegation would visit the locality, many blind people in Phong Thu commune, members of the Phong Dien District Disabled Community, gathered at the Phong Thu communal hall very early to receive Tet gifts.

This was the second year Carlsberg Vietnam had cooperated with the Public Security Newspaper to support needy people in the central region. "I hope such gifts would bring a happy Tet to people", CEO of Carlsberg Vietnam Tayfun Uner said.

Same day, the delegation visited and handed 100 Tet gifts to needy households of the Trieu Phong District Veterans’ Association in Dai Hao hamlet, Trieu Dai commune, Trieu Phong district, Quang Tri province. The delegation planned to offer 1,400 packs of Tet gifts to people in Quang Tri province.

In the joyful atmospheres, many households extended their deep thanks to the Public Security Newspaper and donors.

"This is the first time I and other needy veterans received Tet gifts. This meaningful gift would bring a warmer Tet to us", a veteran living in Trieu Thuan ward, Trieu Phong district said.
