Deputy Minister Tran Quoc To highlighted that the two sides agreed on many important contents to implement bilateral cooperation on safeguarding national security, fighting crime, maintaining order and society, contributing to strengthening political trust and comprehensive and substantive security and defense cooperation in the new period, at the 8th Ministerial Conference on anti-crime cooperation between the two countries’ ministries of public security.
Accordingly, the two sides enhance exchange of criminal information, sharing of experiences in fighting and handling crimes with the use of high technology, and coordinate in combating online fraud and cross-border gambling while co-organizing training courses for police officers of the two sides on fixing cyber security incidents, countering cyber attacks, cyber terrorism and cyber crimes.
At the meeting, the two sides also agreed that the Chinese side provide the Vietnamese police equipment and facilities to fight hi-tech crimes.
Thanking Deputy Minister Tran Quoc To for the warm meeting, Vice Secretary Yang Chunlei highly appreciated the results of cooperation between Chinese law enforcement agencies and the Vietnamese Ministry of Public Security in recent times, and expressed his wish that the two sides would continue to promote cooperation, especially in the fight against all types of crime, in order to realize the common viewpoints between the two countries’ top leaders and deepen the friendly relationship between the Vietnamese Ministry of Public Security and Chinese law enforcement agencies.
